Taste of Memphis was created to celebrate the food, culture and entrepreneurial spirit that make our city unlike any other.

For a decade, Memphis Black Restaurant Week brought residents and visitors together to discover, support and celebrate Black-owned restaurants throughout the city. After the original organizer stepped away, our team recognized how important it was for that momentum and its impact on Memphis' culinary community to continue.

With the support of Memphis Black Restaurant Week's founder, we are honored to carry that mission forward through Taste of Memphis: Black Dining Week.

This citywide dining experience encourages guests to explore participating restaurants, enjoy specially curated menus and intentionally invest in the businesses that help shape Memphis' culture. Our goal is bigger than filling tables for one week. We want to introduce restaurants to new customers, increase their visibility and inspire continued support throughout the year.

Black Dining Week is only the beginning. Taste of Memphis will continue bringing new culinary experiences and events to the city that showcase local talent, connect the community and celebrate the many flavors that define Memphis.

The Event

Each year, Taste of Memphis: Black Dining Week brings together a curated list of participating Black-owned restaurants offering special menus, prix-fixe experiences, and exclusive deals. Diners explore the city's culinary landscape while directly supporting the businesses that make Memphis one of the great food cities in America.
