A Night at the Guest House at Graceland with Superstar TG Sheppard!

Before TG Sheppard took the stage, you knew it was going to be a night to remember. Mayor Bill Morris and his wife had taken their seats on the front row. Kelly Lang’s mom was there. TG Sheppard’s brother was there. Our own Kelly Price was on the second row plotting to start his own country music career. The one and only Charlene Tilton who played Lucy Ann Ewing in the popular television series Dallas, was glowing in the VIP section.
Shining in all her glory was the Guest House at Graceland. The hotel was in itself one of the big stars of the night. The theater is one of the best places in the region to enjoy a very intimate concert.
TG Sheppard launched into his hit single Slow Burn and the magic of the evening began . . .
Mr Sheppard hit all the right notes as he took us down memory lane with hit after hit. Even the moments in between songs were moments to be treasured. The chemistry between the artist and his band highlight the bonds created by years of shows on the road. Playing in Memphis, Playing at Elvis’s house, clearly brought back memories for TG, and everyone in the audience hung onto every detail of the personal memories of Graceland.
Kelly sat down to perform what should be the next great Tennessee anthem. Her song captures the true heart and spirit of our great state!
TG Sheppard told his mom back in Humboldt TN that he would be friends with Elvis Prestley . . .
When Kelly Lang took the stage, you couldn’t help but feel the amazing love this beautiful couple share. From her red bottom shoes to her red guitar, Kelly is a show stopping talent. She looked right at home as she launched into songs from her throwback album. Kelly sang a couple of her new songs and showed all of us why the old sounds of country and blues are still the best. The audience cheered as she sang about being obessed with a new love. But it was Tennessee Moon that grabbed your heart and made you feel her connections to the very roots of Memphis, Nashville, and all of what makes our state special. You instantly find yourself proud of our home state as she touched nuggets of greatness from different parts and eras of the state.
TG Sheppard and Kelly Lang shows us what it’s like to be in love not just with someone, but with your art, your life, and your values. The duets were beautiful. But the highlight of the evening was the personal notes from TG. He talked about gaining success and then spending all your money. He launched into the Folger’s Coffee, you know it! The Best Part of Waking Up is . . . The crowd loved it.
TG reminded us with his hit Party Time that we all have a choice, we can get stuck accepting the negatives of our world as reality or we can celebrate all that is great. His personal review of the Guest House at Graceland was a shining endorsement of what is now a true asset to the city of Memphis! Thank you to the staff of the Guest House at Graceland. This facility is beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing! We love it. Thank you TG Sheppard for a great night of music and entertainment!
If you missed this concert, you owe it to yourself to add a TG Sheppard and Kelly Lang concert to your bucket list!
